YouTube Reborn tweak created by @SarahH12099 provides useful options to the stock YouTube app. Use this mod to disable video ads and enable background playback on your iOS devices. Moreover, you can customize the YouTube app to disable double-tap to skip, always show player bar, disable video end screen popups, allow HD streaming on cellular data, or disable age restriction.
The tweak installs a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app. From here you can configure the YouTube Reborn tweak. Activate options like show Status Bar in overlay (Portrait), disable related videos in overlay, hide the share button in the overlay, and hide overlay dark background.
Disable the download button, comments section, cast button, notification button, topics section, voice search, the YouTube Kids popup. You can also customize the tab bar including Hide Explore (Trending) tab, Hide Subscriptions tab, Hide Inbox tab, Hide library tab, and enable iPad style on iPhone.
YouTube Reborn tweak offers all functions available in the original YouTube app. The only feature that is not available in the tweaked version is the option to download videos for offline playback. Moreover, stream the audio to supported DLNA devices like Samsung TV's, or Apple TV.
This is a great alternative for Cercube for iOS (can be installed also without jailbreak) for all jailbroken devices. The developer is updating the tweak regularly to work with the latest AppStore version of the app. From the same repository, you can also download the YouTube Music Reborn tweak.
YouTube Reborn Repo
The tweak works on both unc0ver and checkra1n jailbreak tools running on iOS 13 - iOS 9. To add YouTube Reborn Repository to your list of Cydia Sources follow our step-by-step guide.
Step 1. Open the Cydia app on your device.
Step 2. Tap Sources → Edit → Add the official YouTube Reborn Repo.
Step 3. Switch to Search Tab and enter YouTube Reborn.
Step 4. Tap the Install button.
Step 5. The tweak can be configured from Settings → YouTube Reborn.
