SmartVolumeControl3

If you are a veteran iPad and iPhone owner, you may remember that last year iOS and iPadOS 13 release included an overhauled volume HUD interface. This removed the mid-screen that was disrupting the screen but the newer volume HUD was placed at the side of the display so that it doesn’t get in your way when you are watching a video or looking at photos.

But what if the newer volume HUD also doesn’t work out for you? Well, don’t worry, if your phone is jailbroken then you should check out the newly released jailbreak tweak named SmartVolumeControl3. Created by iOS developer midkin, this new tweak brings a wide range of alternative volume HUD interfaces to your notice. With the different interface options, you also get a Status Bar-based pill design, a notch-friendly option, and a modernized throwback to the classic mid-screen volume HUD.

One of the best things about SmartVolumeControl3 is that it includes more than three volume HUD options. Once you install the tweak, a dedicated preference pane is added to the Settings app where you can configure the tweak options to suit your liking.

Here, the users can do the following:

  • Choose an active style from several options such as Pill, Classic, Minimal, Triangle, Video Player, and so on
  • Select a theming style from options such as OLED, Adaptive, Always Light, and Always Dark
  • Select a glass thickness effect from thin, very thin, regular, or thick
  • Enable fast mute
  • Configure the volume steps
  • Adjust the volume steps
  • Enable for Lock Screen volume
  • Choose automatic dismissal delay
  • Adjust the automatic dismissal delay
  • Enable screen awakeness when volume is adjusted
  • Choose an Activator action for using the volume HUD interface

With so many options, SmartVolumeControl3 gives an augmented volume HUD in comparison to the native experience of your iPhone and iPad so you can choose whatever you want. This tweak provides you not just with a theming engine to make the volume HUD look different but there are several behavioral options including dismissal delays, custom step amounts, and so on.

If you wish to give SmartVolumesControl3 a try, then you can download this tweak from midkin’s personal repository using your favorite package manager. After you have downloaded the tweak, you can go to the preference pane and purchase the activation code for the tweak by paying $2.99. One thing to note about SmartVolumeControl3 is that this tweak is currently supported on jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 13 and 14 devices.

If you aren’t using midkin repository, then you can add this repository to your package manager using the following URL:
