A lot of users wish that they could change the colors of their handset's UI and use something other than the interface colors provided by Apple. And if you are a user with a jailbroken phone, then I am sure you want to personalize your device more to give it a new look.

Well, if that sounds like you, then you are going to love this new jailbreak tweak release. ProjectX is a jailbreak tweak developed by iOS developer Ethan Whited that allows users to color their iOS and iPadOS UI with just a few, simple clicks. Yes, you heard us right! You can now change the coloring of the apps on your Apple devices in just a few clicks with the help of this newly released jailbreak tweak.
ProjectX lets the user colorize various aspects of an app's UI. You can change the primary and secondary background colors, primary and secondary label colors, add tinted colors to buttons and selections, and so on. After you install this tweak, there will be a dedicated preference pane in Settings where you can configure the tweak to suit your needs.

In the Settings section, you can perform the following functions:

  • Turn on/off ProjectX for your UI.
  • Select the apps that can be colorized with ProjectX.
  • Enable/disable the secondary background color.
  • Select a color scheme for your phone's dark mode.
  • Select a color scheme for your phone's light mode.
  • Apply your settings and then save the changes.

When you are choosing the coloring scheme for dark mode and the light mode of your handset separately, you will get the below colorization options:

  • Primary background color
  • Secondary background color
  • Primary label color
  • Secondary label color
  • Tint color

Since this is an App list driven tweak, it is quite easy and straightforward to choose the applications that will be affected. You simply need to click on the 'Select Apps' button and then choose all the apps that you wish to make the changes to.

While it is understandable that this tweak isn't preferred by most users as they aren't looking for UI aesthetics modification that the ProjectX provides, it is still a good option for others. The basic aim of this jailbreak tweak is to serve anyone who wishes to personalize their device apps and add some unique coloring to it. If you aren't one of those users, then you can keep scrolling and not install this tweak on your handsets.

The users who are interested in getting ProjectX tweaks can easily get it for $1.00 from the Twickd repository using their favorite package manager. This jailbreak tweak is supported on devices with iOS 13 but currently doesn't offer support for iOS 14 devices.

So, what do you think of this jailbreak tweak? Do you think you will be using its features to colorize the apps on your Apple handset? Do let us know in the comments!
