According to whistleblower Jon Prosser, who has a fair track record of anticipating Apple's plans, New MacBook Pro Models are Coming at WWDC.

Prosser did not include any further information, but new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are in the works. The latest MacBook Pros will be the most significant update to the MacBook Pro line since 2016.

The MagSafe port will be reintroduced, and the 2021 MacBook Pro models will have an SD card reader and an HDMI port in addition to a trio of Thunderbolt/USB-C ports, with various color options.

There will be no Touch Bar. Instead, Apple will return to a standard row of function keys, and the thermal system will be revamped to fit the upgraded Apple silicon chips that are supposed to be used in the machines.

Bloomberg reports that the next MacBook Pro models would use 10-core Apple silicon CPUs with eight high-performance cores and two energy-efficient cores, as well as 16 or 32-core GPU options and up to 64GB RAM compatibility.

There have been no other hints that Apple would announce the MacBook Pro models at WWDC, and though it has been unusual for Apple to do so in recent years, it is not unheard of.

According to reliable sources such as Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the next MacBook Pro models are scheduled to go into production in the second half of 2021.

According to prior rumors, the next 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models would sport a Mini-LED lighting panel. According to sources, Ruiyi Optoelectronics would be the only supplier of these revolutionary Mini-LED panels.

Quanta Computer was confirmed to be in charge of the final assembly of the forthcoming MacBook computers.

Apple may also bring back the MagSafe magnetic charging technology for the MacBook, according to speculations. The TouchBar is also said to be being phased out in favor of physical control keys by Apple.

Apple is planning to return the MagSafe port, and the 2021 MacBook Pro models could include an HDMI port and an SD card reader, and a trio of Thunderbolt/USB-C connectors.

There's a chance that, like the recently released iMac, the system will be available in a variety of colors. Based on the models that have been released so far, it is possible that the pricing for these new models will be similar to the existing models.

It comes along with some new features:-

  • Three emoji characters referenced by their Unicode names are hidden in the reflection of one character's eye.
  • The MacBook emoji, Fork and knife, and sleeping z's are all seen as reports have indicated the new MacBook Pro models are coming this Summer.
