MusicLyricsShare Jailbreak
Share:

Most of us love music but generally, there are two kinds of people in the world. Those who listen to music because it sounds amazing while there are others who listen to music because it is good to hear and follow along with the lyrics. If you are one of those who likes to follow the lyrics too, then I am sure there might have been times when you had the sudden urge to share the lyrics of a song with your friends or family members.

MusicLyricsShare tweak by iOS developer ETHN is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak that makes it easier for the users using Apple Music to share the lyrics. All they have to do is tap and hold the lyrics block that usually appears when you are streaming a song on the Apple Music app.

Once you do this, you will see a share sheet being displayed on the screen that will show all the sharing options that you can use and will find anywhere on the iOS or iPadOS. You can customize the iOS share sheet but there will be lots of default options available such as:

  • Using AirDrop to share
  • Using iMessage or text messages to share
  • Using email to share
  • Adding text to the Notes app
  • Copying the text to your clipboard
  • Saving the text to Files or Filza
  • And so on

You might be familiar with a similar feature that is already available on iOS and iPadOS 14.5 but this tweak has been designed for older iOS and iPadOS versions only, basically the ones that are jailbreakable on the devices.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that the lyrics that are saved when you use this tweak are saved in plain text and not in the large bold text that you see when selecting the lyrics from the Apple Music app. Moreover, you won’t get any configuration options with MusicLyricsShare, so with this tweak, it is basically you get what you see.

If you are interested in trying out the MusicLyricsShare tweak, then you can download it for free from ETHN’s repository using the favorite package manager. This tweak is currently supported on jailbroken iOS 13 and 14 devices and is available open source on the developer’s Github page.
