Pangu team proved that they are back in the game showing a demo of iOS 14 Jailbreak at Mobile Security Conference 2020 that took place in Shanghai. Liang Chen of the Pangu team was talking about "iOS in 2020" and he showed the latest iOS jailbreak demo running on iOS 14 and iPhone 11 Pro.
MOSEC started first in 2015 and is still organized by Team Pangu and PoC. Mobile Security Conference focuses on research topics in the area of mobile security and this time we have a live example of jailbreaking iPhone 11 Pro running on iOS 14.
The vulnerability announced at MOSEC 2020 is in SEPROM and it looks like it can't be patched with a software update. ROM is a system builtin into the chip and it's read-only, so the corresponding vulnerability can't be upgraded or patched by Apple. Lifetime SEPROM exploit is coming to iOS 14.
Having this in mind, we can trust that the next lifetime jailbreak for the latest Apple devices is coming even if Pangu will not release the iOS 14 Jailbreak tool publicly. The jailbreak community is always finding a way to bring jailbreak to the newest iOS firmware allowing users to get the freedom to install Cydia apps and tweaks.
Team Pangu is known for its multiple releases of untethered jailbreak tools for iOS 7, iOS 8, and iOS 9. Team Pangu was also the first to jailbreak iOS 8 and iOS 9 in the world. The team created Pangu Lab a security laboratory consisting of many senior security professionals. Members of the Pangu Lab discovered hundreds of 0day vulnerabilities in major operating systems.
POC started in 2006 and has been organized by Korean hackers and security experts. It is the biggest international security & hacking conference in Korea. POC concentrates on technical and creative discussion and shows real hacking and security. POC believes that the power of the community will make the world safer. POC has been making a history with sincere staff and hackers from the world.
