Apple allows you to decide how quickly or slowly you want to press the button on your AirPods Pro or the AirPods max to make action happen.
AirPods accessibility settings
You can find customization for your AirPods in the accessibility settings. Go to the settings and click on the Bluetooth tab and tap on the ‘i’ icon next to your listed AirPods and avail accessibility settings.
How to change AirPods’ press speed & hold duration?
If you want to change your AirPods button hold duration and press speed, then follow these steps:
- Go to the settings app of your iPhone or iPad and move to the accessibility tab.
- Click on the AirPods option. If you have multiple AirPods, then you need to select the AirPods in which you want to make changes.
- Now go to press speed and make desired changes. Make changes to the duration required to press and hold a button.
- If one of your Airpods is not working, you can go to Apple customer care and replace that.
These customization options are available to AirPods Pro and AirPods Max only. In AirPods Pro, you can double or triple-press the stem to skip forward or backward and affect the speed using this effect. You can also decide house long the stem should be pressed for Siri to come into action.
Press speeds are affected in AirPods Max also by pressing the digital crown button two or three times to skip forward or backward, respectively. Apart from these features, AirPods Pro and max offer additional assistive features also.
