Arizona Jailbreak

Over the years, Apple has experimented with both the lighter and bolder fonts for the date and time display on the Lock Screen but thing that has remained constant over the years is the position of the date and time display.

For as long as we can remember, the date and time display of the Lock Screen has always been positioned in the top 1/3rd part of the display screen. And while Apple doesn’t offer any option to its users to customize the data and time positioning on the Lock Screen, it is no surprise that the jailbreak community has come up with their own solution to this problem with the help of a new jailbreak tweak.

A newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Luki120, Arizona allows the users to easily reposition the date and time display on the Lock Screen howsoever they want. You can use Arizona to easily adjust the positioning of the date and time display of the Lock Screen in several different ways and by not following the top 1/3rd rule. You can align it to the bottom of the Lock Screen, to the right side or the left side, and so on.

And the best thing about Arizona is that it doesn’t just let you change the position of the date and time display but it lets you arrange it in an aesthetically pleasing way. You can achieve this by using the extensive list of features of Arizona that is available in the Settings app after the installation. Here, you will find the following options:

  • Turn the Arizona tweak on or off whenever you want.
  • Select your favorite date and time display position from Left, Right, and Center.
  • Enable the custom data and time positioning on the Lock Screen.
  • Adjust the X and Y position of the date and time display on the Lock Screen with the help of two different sliders.

Once you make any changes, they will immediately take effect and you won’t have to respring the device to save these changes. This is why there is no respring button provided in the preference pane. An important thing to note about this tweak is that for the changes to take effect, you do need to lock and unlock the device a couple of times.

So, whether you are trying to arrange the Lock Screen’s date and time display to compliment your theme or you hate the Apple’s native positioning of the date and time display, then Arizona is a great addition to your handset and offers you customization options to keep you happy.

If you are interested in trying out this jailbreak tweak, then you can easily get it for free from the Twickd repository using the favorite package manager. Moreover, this jailbreak tweak supports jailbroken iOS 13 and 14 devices. It is also open source on the developer’s Github page so you can check its source code to see how it works.
