Apple has announced two brand new Pride Edition bands with dynamic Pride watch faces that are compatible with the Apple Watch.

Each year during Pride Month, Apple unveils new watch faces and bands to support the global LGBTQ+ community and equality movement.

And here’s everything you need to know about this latest release.

Pride Edition Sport Loop

The members and friends from the LGBTQ+ creative community at Apple were inspired to present an expression of pride that was new with this innovative design.

Utilizing the durable, comfortable, and adjustable Sport Loop design, Apple employed a unique method to take off a few of the double-layer nylon-woven loops from the band, revealing "pride" in an edgy style that was inspired by the original "hello" greeting that was first displayed on the Macintosh in 1984, providing the word with a unique 3-D appearance and feel.

The team developed the color gradient, which combines the rainbow's original colors with colors drawn from different flags of pride, including light blue, pink, and white, which represent transgender people and gender-nonconforming people, as well as black and brown, representing black as well as Latinx communities.

They also symbolize people who suffer from or who have died from HIV/AIDS.

Pride Threads Watchface

Inspired by a variety of pride flags, this brand new watch face is a blend of colors to show the power and solidarity of the LGBTQ+ movement. The woven loops mirror the woven loops of the Sport Loop.

Each strand of vibrant thread adds to the overall design of the face. The vibrant threads move when they move when the Digital Crown on the Apple Watch is turned, the display is tapped or the wearer's wrist is elevated.

Apple has also added the brand-new App Clip features to the packaging for the band, to provide an easy and user-friendly method for customers to instantly gain access to the brand new display on the watch.

Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop

A brand new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop highlights the whole range of rainbows and has a matching color-changing rainbow Nike Bounce face that accompanies the brand new band.

Together with the Nike Be True collection, the Sport Loop honors individuals who positively impact the sport for future generations and encourages others to embrace the pleasure of being true to themselves.

Be True is a part of Nike's larger engagement with members of the LGBTQ+ community, which is focused on the recognition of advocacy, inspiration, and education.
