The Apple Watch is a great gadget.

Numerous multimedia functions are smashed together into one tiny wearable package. That’s the dream...

But, did you know your Apple Watch has some great hidden features that you may never have known of?

“Changing of Watch Faces in according to Time-Zones and location” is one among them.

Thus, in today’s article, we will guide you on the steps by which you can make some necessary tweaks on your Apple Watch so it changes faces in accordance to time zones and location.

Let us begin…

The News: Time to say Goodbye to Traditional Wrist Watch

Do you know what the best thing about the Apple Watch is? You can create watch faces that are more informative or functional.

Then, once you're done, you can swipe through the faces that you need. For example, you could have a watch face that focuses on work when you go to work. You might also choose to have a simple watch face when you go to bed at night.

You might be averse to setting up watch faces in a particular way. If this is the case, you should think about using automation in iOS.This will allow you to change the watch face of your Apple Watch automatically without having to raise your wrist. You can do this with the Shortcuts App.

You don't have to be an expert at creating shortcuts. The steps below will show you how simple this automation is to make. However, you will need to create separate automation if you want the Apple Watch to switch to another face after a set time (e.g., when your workday ends).

Second, automation is also required if the watch face should only be visible when you are at a specific location, and then it will revert when you leave.

How to Change the Face of Your Apple Watch Automatically at a Specific Time?

  • Open the Shortcuts App on your iPhone.
  • Click Automation, which is located at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click on Create Personal Automation.

  • Choose a time of day.
  • Select Sunrise or Sunset. You'll then be able to specify a time for these solar events or any other time using Time of Day. You will see the repeat options daily and weekly. Tap Next.
  • Tap Add Action and then use the search box to look for "Watch."
  • Choose Set Watch Face from the list of available watch actions.
  • Tap the blue button "Face" on the Actions screen below to "Set active watches to face to."

  • Select the watch face that you would like to change at that time. You may find duplicates of some watch faces in this list, which uses Apple's official names. This is because the list corresponds with the current watch faces on your Apple Watch. The top watch face on this list is the one that you see after you swipe to the leftmost face of your Apple Watch.
  • When the actions screen appears, tap Next. Then toggle off the switch and ask before running. Finally, confirm the action by tapping "Don't Ask."
  • To finish, tap Done.

Now you should see the automation that you have just created on your automation screen. Again, there is no need to do anything; your watch face will now change automatically at the time that you set.

How to automatically change the face of your Apple Watch based on location?

  • Start the Shortcuts App on your iPhone.
  • Click on the Automation button at the bottom.
  • Select "Create Personal Automation."

  • Choose Leave or Arrive depending on when you want to watch the face change.
  • Select the location and then click Next.
  • Tap Add Action and then use the search box to look for "Watch."
  • Choose Set Watch Face from the list of available watch actions.
  • Tap the blue button "Face" on the Actions screen below to "Set active watches to face to."

  • Select the watch face that you would like to use when leaving or arriving at the location. You may find duplicates of some watch faces in this list, which uses Apple's official names. This is because the list corresponds with the current watch faces on your Apple Watch. The top watch face on this list is the one that you see after you swipe to the leftmost face of your Apple Watch.
  • When the actions screen appears, click Next.
  • To finish, tap Done on the final screen.

The Automation screen should now show the automation that you have just created. Again, there is no need to do anything; your watch face will now change automatically when you arrive or depart from the selected location.

The Shortcuts app offers so much more than these two examples. You can use predefined shortcuts to create complex automation that includes all kinds of variables and conditions. Of course, the complexity of your automation will depend on how much you are willing to spend time exploring what is possible. Your imagination is the only limit.
