Apple lands 35 Primetime Emmy Award nominations

It’s the second half of 2021 and Apple has already raised a few eyebrows with scintillating news from CBS. For the first time in the history of entertainment, Apple has landed 35 primetime Emmy awards nominations.

It seems like yesterday that Apple had paired with some of the top production houses of Hollywood to establish their own infotainment business and now they have solidified their status as one of the best.

These Emmy nominated shows are:

1) Mythic Quest

A comedy series written by Rob McElhenney, Megan Ganz, and Charlie Day that revolves around the story of a team put together by a group of Video game developers to create the best multiplayer video game that humanity has ever witnessed.

The series beautifully portrays all the steps a team has to go through to reach their goal and how teamwork really pays off.

2) Led Lasso

The most popular series of the lot. Ted Lasso is a brilliantly written comedy series about a football coach Ted Lasso who is astonishingly selected to coach a professional football team in England. The only downside of the story, Ted has no experience on how to coach a team.

The series is a beautiful culmination of comedy and strategy. It has some parts which will surely blow your mind.

3) Boy State

A documentary about a young boy into the beating heart of American Democracy. Boy State precisely points out the effect of outdated political ideas and myths and how this young boy builds up to something great from the very scratch.

The twists and turns of the storyline and the splendid performance by Steven Garza just make this series worth all the accolades.

4) Central Park

Central Park is an animated series of Apple that depicts the story of Tillerman’s family that lives in Central Park. The series portrays the story of a mother cum reporter who raises her children among hardships and helps preserve this great landmark from people who want to turn it into condos.

5) Billie Eilish: The World’s a little Blurry

Billie Eilish is a teen pop-sensation who broke the internet with her solo song - Ocean Eyes. This series tells the story of a young middle school girl who just got out of a bad relationship and now has only one dream - to make it as a musician/ singer.

6) Servant

A thriller first released in 2019, Servant has slowly built up a strong fan base for its audience. It is a series about a couple living in Philly who are having some serious post-marital problems and how the rift in their relationship is causing something very bad to their lives.

7) Maria Carey’s magical Christmas Shop

“A modern fairy tale with a great storyline” is what we have to say about the Magical Christmas shop of Maria Carey. The series has risen to its fame due to its effortless animation and heartwarming storyline.

8) Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to you

This is more of a set of songs or podcasts that were released by Apple Tv. It is the 20th studio album sung by Bruce Springsteen.

9) The Year Earth Changed

As you can guess from the name itself, this series is about how Covid affected the whole world. It has short glimpses about people all around the world and how they have suffered due to this great pandemic.

The series not only speaks about the dangers of such pandemics but also highlights the strength of human character and how it still believes that everything is going to be alright.
