If you are a gamer, then I am sure you have heard about Apex Legends by Respawn Entertainment which is a popular PC and console game. And guess what? Now, you can enjoy this gaming experience on your tablets and smartphones as well.

Respawn Entertainment announced on Monday on the EA’s website that they are bringing a new experience to smartphones by releasing a new version of Apex Legends there. The new version is aptly known as Apex Legends Mobile and there will be a limited beta that will be launched in this spring.

Although the Game Director of Respawn didn’t say much about this new game title, he did confirm that this game title will have specially designed controls for the touchscreen users which is definitely a feature that a lot of users were looking forward to. Moreover, there will be lots of useful optimizations in the game that will turn this game into the most advanced battle royal combat that is available on a smartphone.

According to the blog post on the EA website, Apex Legends Mobile is a new version but it still retains the original roots of the game and the existing players will be able to enjoy the gaming experience that they know and love. Players still have the option to select a character that they can use for its unique set of skills on the battlefield.

Moreover, the new game version still keeps the free-to-play setup so, the players don’t have to pay to purchase the game upfront. But there will be a lot of in-app purchases available for the cosmetic items that don’t have any effect on the general gameplay of this game. The mobile version of Apex Legends also has a unique battle pass which is separate from the one that is for the consoles and the PC players.

Apex Legends Mobile doesn’t support cross play so the mobile players cannot play against the PC players or the console players.

Beta Version

For the Apex Legends Mobile version, things will start a little slowly. According to Respawn, the title’s beta version will be available in the Philippines and India in small capacities in the beginning of spring. And the game is available only for the Android users at this time. But according to the company, the beta version will be expanded soon after that to be made available to the iPhone users as well.

There has been no word currently on when this game will be made available to a wider audience or how the beta version will be expanded but, this is a start.
