Screen to GIF is free-to-use software, open-source program that lets users record any selected area of your screen, live feed from your webcam or live drawings from a sketch board and can then edit and save the animation as a GIF or video. The software also consists of the Webcam Recorder and the Board Recorder.
Features of SCREEN TO GIF
Recorders: The software allows the user to record their PC screen, their webcam feed or even record their sketch board drawings.
Screen: The software allows users to make use of the record, discard, pause or stop buttons that help control the user’s capture. The user can also select the capture frequency mode, which can be in manual, normal in fps, or time-lapse in fpm/fph.
User-Interface: Users can type the exact size of the capture region, can drag or resize the window to adjust what the user wants to capture, or drag the crosshair button and drop it on top of a window to move the recorder to capture. The new update now comes with an added feature that allows users to enter a selection mode, that lets users select a region, a window or an entire screen to capture.
Webcam: The software allows the users to resize the window to adjust the size of the capture, select the maximum FPS of the capture that the user needs, and use the record, pause, discard or stop buttons from controlling the user’s capture.
Sketch Board: The software allows the user to select the maximum FPS of the capture, enable the auto-capture or press Ctrl to toggle if the capture pauses or captures it, depending on if the auto-capture is enabled or disabled, or resize the window to adjust the size of the capture.
Editor: The user can start a new recording or open a media that can be videos or images or project file, insert a new recording or media file into an existing project, open recently worked projects or export their projects into different kinds of formats like video, gif, apng, PSD or image. Users can also select multiple frames or browse to a specific frame, alter the delay of the frames that consists of overriding, increase/decrease or scale. The software also enables the auto-sizing of the editor window based on the content size and vice-versa.
Image Manipulation: The software allows users to manipulate the image by adding overlays to the image by keystrokes or mouse clicks, add borders, shadows, obfuscation, watermarks or even cinemograph their project by selecting certain parts of the project to move or stay static.
Installation Requirements for SCREEN TO GIF
To install the SCREEN TO GIF on PC, make sure that the following requirements are met by the user in the PC desktop.
PC – Make sure that your PC is on Windows 7 or higher with at least 4 GB of RAM.
Compatibility Mode is enabled.
How to Download SCREEN TO GIF on Windows
Follow the below steps to download and install the SCREEN TO GIF on your PC:
Go to SCREEN TO GIF ’s website, and go to Downloads.
Click on Download Now.
Select ‘Save’ to download the program. The file will be saved in the Downloads folder.
If you want to save in a specified folder on your desktop, then click on ‘Save As’ and select the folder you want the program to be saved.
After the download is complete click on the .exe file.
The installation process will start.
Run the installation package.
Wait until the update completes
Follow the Windows installation instructions and select options accordingly.
Click on Finish to complete the installation.
The program icon will appear on the desktop.
Select the icon to start the application.
