NAPS2 is a free application to scan documents and save them in one of popular formats including PDF, TIFF, JPEG or PNG. The program allows you also to convert text into an editable format (OCR).
The tool works with WIA and TWAIN compatible scanners, offering compatibility with almost any device available on the market. Among the key features of NAPS2 you can find the ability to scan documents in ADF mode, option to rotate, delete or change the order of scanned pages, the ability to save documents to PDF or image files like TIFF, JPEG, PNG, or send scaned pages directly by e-mail.
NAPS2 also offers the ability to configure basic scanning options including settings like brightness, contrast, resolution, scaling, paper size, etc. Prepared configurations you can save as profiles, and easily reused them later. You can also easily rotate pages at right angles, or straighten them at any angle you like.
You can also run NAPS2 from the command line. The user can also create custom scripts that automate the process of scanning documents. Application requires instaling on your system NET Framework 4.0 libraries.
