About HexChat:
HexChat lets you communicate by simply utilizing an Internet Relay Chat protocol. When you start HexChat, the connection needs to set up by selecting the appropriate networks. You must even make a nickname for yourself too. You can also have 2 extra nickname options on standby if in case your first choice isn’t available. HexChat based on Xchat gives you features, like an automated connection to chat rooms which are defined by users. This saves you time as you won’t need to search for a long list of rooms to find the one you want. Another thing you can do is that you can choose a network and display the window that has a list of all channels. There’re search options available in the window to help you find rooms in that way too. If you have ever used an IRC client, then the conversation window should seem familiar.
The list of all active users in the chat room will be seen there. It also shows their status in the rooms, such as an administrator or standard member. Channel operators can even grant admin privileges to anyone in the room. They can even kick out users and ban users too. If you have written commands in the IRC application before, then you will be pleased to know you can do the same in Hex Chat. The commands can help you do things such as changing your status, discover any channel’s total number of users, change nickname, etc.

Download & Install HexChat:
Download->
On your right, you will find a button saying "Download". Click on it.
Your download would automatically begin.
Installation->
After your download is complete, go towards the downloads folder on your PC.
Run the setup file.
Go through the installation settings and click on Install.
Once the installation is complete, run the application.
