Free media server Universal Media Server 7.2 was released today! This release adds improved support for ATRAC and DolbyE formats, and reduced size of local database dramatically. Universal Media Server Changelog available.

Universal Media Server is a server designed to transcode and upload through network any media files to devices that support DLNA and AirPlay including TVs, tablets, phones, consoles, etc. It is powered by FFmpeg, MEncoder, tsMuxeR, MediaInfo, OpenSubtitles etc. The software can stream media to the device, as well as transcode on the fly to other supported formats. Universal Media Server can also add subtitles to movies, change the font size, etc. You can download Universal Media Server for free.
